Granulomonocytoapheresis

Therapeutic procedure in which the patient's blood passes through an extracorporeal medical device containing a column (with cellulose acetate spheres) or filter that selectively adsorbs activated monocytes (via complement receptors) and activated granulocytes (via Fc receptors), allowing the remaining leukocytes and other blood components to be returned to the patient.
