The BST Biobank makes available to researchers and educators, for their research or teaching projects, different types of human biological samples that cannot be used for healthcare purposes.
What steps do you need to follow to place an order at the Biobank?
If you are a researcher
- 1 Submit a report with the corresponding research project
- 2 Submit the research project approval by the reference Research Ethics Committee
- 3 Sign the Sample Transfer Agreement once its transfer has been approved by the Scientific and Ethical Committees of the Biobank
- 4 Fill out and sign the Biobank product request form specifying the requested sample code
If you are an educational centre
- 1 Submit the corresponding educational project for the requested samples
- 2 Sign the Transfer Agreement for samples once their transfer has been approved by the Scientific Committee of the Biobank
- 3 Fill out and sign the biobank product request form specifying the requested sample code
What products and services does the Biobank offer?
Both researchers and educators must request the samples from the Biobank using a specific form once the necessary procedures have been completed in accordance with the applicable legal regulations. The supply is managed internally.
