How to organise a blood donation campaign
Every year we carry out over 4,000 collections throughout Catalonia to ensure that all patients have blood when they need it.
Who can request a campaign?
The basic criteria for a company to be able to organize a campaign are:
Having a minimum staff of around 40 employees interested in donating blood. Companies that do not have as many workers usually join forces with neighboring ones to ensure the minimum necessary donations to organize the campaign.
Having different spaces or a single transparent space. If there is no suitable space within the company, we will consider other possibilities, such as using an equipped bus.

Basic Information
Blood Donation
In the section Can I Donate? you will find the basic requirements to be a blood donor, as well as the questionnaire prior to donation that all donors must complete.
Donation Buses
The Blood Bank's buses are equipped to receive blood donations. They are used when the company does not have a suitable space for donations.
The requirements for locating mobile units are:
- Adequate access for buses and trailers.
- Minimum space of 20 meters to park the bus or trailer.
- Consider whether permission to park is required.
Campaign Outreach
Companies are responsible for promoting the campaign among employees. The Blood Bank provides you with support tools that can help you in the organization.
The Blood Bank provides different supports for personalization:
- A3 Posters
- Motivational phrases, "Did you know" facts, and FAQs
- Editable flyers
- PPT presentation to send to employees
- Banners
Companies with Multiple Offices
Some companies and entities with multiple locations, such as supermarket chains or franchises, organize donation weeks for their professionals.
