ELISPOT Lymphocytes T virus-specific

Clinical information

Diagnostic Utility:

The ELISPOT technique is used for the detection of interferon-gamma secreting T cells in the presence of viral antigens such as PepTivator®CMV pp65, PepTivator®CMV IE-1, PepTivator®AdV5 Hexon, PepTivator®EBV Consensus, PepTivator®EBV EBNA1, PepTivator®BKV LT, PepTivator®BKV VP1. This determination is used for donor assessment and patient monitoring in the research or healthcare setting.

Method

ELISPOT (Enzyme Linked Immuno SPOT assay) is a quantitative technique based on enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay designed to count cytokine-secreting cells.
