Method:
Determination of the HPA-5b genotype
Prior to determining the genotype, DNA extraction from a blood sample in EDTA is required.
The study of the HPA-5b platelet genotype is carried out using the SSP-PCR technique, with specific primers for the HPA-5b allele in a uniplex assay.
